A journey into dance music, crossing a variety of genres including 80s funk, R&B, Italo, Broken Beat, Techno and more. I don't necessarily agree with the term being called a "Boogie Album", but the modern electronic sounds will appeal to most electronic music and cross over soul heads. It lies somewhere between Dam-Funk, Tangerine Dream and french monster Jean Michel Jarre.

'Voltage Controlled Feelings' is the sonic testimony of more than two decades of serious electro, funk and boogie studies from Swedish synth commander Opolopo!

Blending epic Blade Runner soundscapes and Krautrock sequencer lines into cruising west coast beats and beyond, he proves that science fiction and funk are not only compatible, but have always belonged together. 'Voltage Controlled Feelings' is a newly discovered planet orbiting a distant star, that also pays homage to the synthesizers, drum machines and the artists who influenced Opolopo's music. Echoes of Prince, Herbie Hancock, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and Isao Tomita can be heard throughout the album.

Tokyo Dawn Records just released “The Boogie” compilation, filled with nastyness from B. Bravo, AD Bourke, Opolopo & Amalia, Saturn Never Sleeps and much more.

Based on groove fundamentals such as 80's and 90's R&B, Minneapolis funk and early electro, this compilation holds 18 modern approaches to what we like to call boogie music.

Combining neon synths and soul chords with a decent portion of future funk, we're invited to ride an exciting new wave of artists combining latest production techniques with classic grooves deeply rooted in 80's boogie wonderland.

Finely collected by TDR conductor Marc Wallowy, this amazing compilation features 74 minutes of dirty g-funk bangers, sweaty robot grooves, cosmic p-funk bombs and anthems of intergalatic existentialism. 'The Boogie' also features appetizers from forthcoming albums by Amalia, Blaktroniks, Replife, Soulparlor, Vindahl and others dropping 2011 via TDR. Connecting the dots between electro, rap, house and R&B, this exclusive outlook is equally recommended for fans of funk past, present and future! Tokyo Dawn Records adds fourteen colorful remixes to Swede:art's highly successful boombap album 'Emotional Colors'. Ex-RBMA participants Kidkanevil and TOKiMONSTA remix the shit out of Swede’s Emotional Colors project together with producers such as Andreas Saag (Swell Session fame Sweden), San Francisco funkateer B. Bravo and Duktus (Brownswood Records), Vienna turntablist stars Waxolutionists, Aroop Roy (Freestyle Records Japan), Matt Flores (Farside/Compost Germany) plus Comfort Fit, Devonwho, Ishfaq and Sam Irl.
